Grading Contractor In Anderson

Piedmont Honda of Anderson | Project Spotlight

As a Grading Contractor in Anderson, we typically among the first on the project. Often times we set the pace and tone for success. This was the case on a recent project for Piedmont Honda of Anderson. An existing dealership was experiencing growing pains and needed to expand their service department. Matrix Construction tapped us to set the pace and make good things happen.

An existing parking lot sitting on just under .5 acre was the new location for a 10,164 square foot service facility. We began by removing all of the asphalt, light poles and utilities that needed to be relocated along with a couple of HVAC units.

Erosion control measures are an important area of focus for a grading contractor in Anderson. This is to make sure the water is controlled and the site is kept clean throughout the project. Soil conditions required some additional attention to be sure the ground would be stable and meet engineering request. Our three man team undercut the site and re-compacted the soil. With one additional requirement to set multiple steel beams that would ultimately be under the new building.

During the course of the three week project:

  • Demoed .5 acre of asphalt / concrete and infrastructure
  • We moved over 1800 cubic yards of dirt
  • Installed storm drainage and erosion control
  • Dirt moving / fine grading
  • Set steel pillars

To be efficient and help keep cost down we kept the equipment to a minimum, using only the 210 GPS Track Hoe, Mini Track Hoe, Skidsteer and Smooth Drum Roller.

The team at TD Craft Grading enjoys working on many different types of projects. Be sure to check out some of our other project spotlights. We would love to have your project be our next one.
